Creating an Email Account - Gmail
Below is a guide to setup a Gmail (or googlemail) email account, which you can access from any computer using only a web browser.
- Go to http://mail.google.com/mail/signup
- Fill in all the fields on that page - it's all fairly straight forward!
- Read the terms of service, and click "I accept. Create my Account"
- The next page will give you a brief introduction, I suggest you give this a read to familarise yourself.
- That's it. You now have created your email account.
- To log in to your account, go to: http://mail.google.com/mail, and fill in the username and password that you created in step 2
- Note that your email address is displayed at the very top right of the page. It will probably take the format <username>@googlemail.com
- You'll see that you have one message already. I would strongly reccomend that you read the getting started guide at http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=90877&topic=12925
- Click "Compose Mail" to send your first email!
