Q66: New Pipework on the Bodrum-Milas Road
Q66: What are all the pipes for alongside the Bodrum-Milas road? I have heard water but what good is it going to do, what sort of water and where is it going. Why did they have the road to Yali blocked off for such a long time? I also think that the JCB's are beginning to cut into the hillside on the right going into Torba.
A66: The pipes will connect Bodrum to the Akgedik dam in Muğla, and will provide water to Bodrum through the “Bodrum Drinking Water line”. It will cope with the future demands of the area. I’ll see if I can find some way to put this on the Bulletin; I’m sure other people are wondering the same. I believe it’s due for completion in 2010. -- Ed.
