Q90: Pickling Vinegar
Q90: Has anyone found clear pickling vinegar anywhere? I have looked in Kipa, Migros and Metro without luck; I can only find grape vinegar (which is brown) or apple/cider (which is yellow).
A90.1: I don't know about the vinegar but there is a powder mix called "tursu kur" - maybe knorr not sure. I don't think there is clear vinegar in Turkey but I'll ask a friend and let you know. -- Arzu
NEW: A90.2: Try the "Corner shop" at the end of the marina in Bodrum. They supply all kines of Brittisch sources. --Wim
NEW: A90.3: I buy Efe Evde Turşu from Şok. It comes in a 5 Ltr container and cost 4,90 TL. It is brown in colour but when you add the vegetables and leave for 10 days it has turned to clear! I hope this helps. --Judith
