Q106: Greenfly spray

Q106: Does anyone know where to find a greenfly spray for house container plants? I couldn't find any on a recent visit to Koçtaş.

NEW: A106.1: A little washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle does the trick. --Charles

NEW: A106.2: If you want to try an environmently friendly solution, try soaking cigarette ends in a jug of water, till you get a brown liquid. Use to spray houseplants, roses or vegetables. Insects hate the nicotine. A very week solution of washing up liquid will have the same effect. Neither will kill friendly insects, such as bees. --Liz

NEW: 106.3: This may sound strange but a weak tobacco solution is not only effective but organic. Get a couple of cheap cigars, break them up, soak in water for a day then use that as a spray. Usual mix is one cup tobacco to a gallon of water, but that's leaf so you can get away with less using cigars, colour should be like weak tea after 24 hours or so. --Gunes
