q113: Schengen visas for spouses
Q113: Does anyone know anything about free Schengen visas for spouses of British citizens with British (or European maybe??) passports, here from Turkey i.e. Someone told me that she thinks her husband got a 6mth visa free because she is British. Is this the case?
NEW: A113.1: It all depends on where the visa is applied for by the Turkish Husband.... if he is living in the UK on settlement or IDL visa then he applies to appropriate Embassy for the Schengen visa..... and in most cases; yes its free, normally there is an admin charge only... depending which country he is wanting to visit it may be one of the countries that can be appled for on-line (not all EU countrys allow on-line application) if he is applying from Turkey he wıll have to go to either of the Consulates i.e, Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara and there will be a charge of about 150TL. -- Debbie
