Q114: Fees for extra guests
Q114: We have been advised by our site management committee that we are now restricted on the numbers of people we can have in our home, and if this is exceeded then the extra people will have to pay a daily fee. If we do not comply then no guests may visit without the owner being present. Is this "legal", and how do we best argue against it?
NEW: A114.1: Site law comes under Kat Mulkiyet Kanun and I am positive that there is NOTHING like that in the law, however, that law can be "supplemented" by your own site's constitution which is defined as decisions taken in your "Karar Defter". So... ask to see the Karar (decision) that states such a rule. But.... if you annoy the other site householders by allowing people to use the pool when you are not there (which seems to me as a site resident a very strange thing to do - what if everyone did the same??) then they can make such a decision at their next meeting. --Jane
