Q131: What's the best way to heat a Bodrum house?
A131: A tricky and subjective question, but have a look at the article HERE we published last year, it provides an overview of the common heating options available. In summary though:
- Best all-round: Modern Air Conditioning unit (with heat pump)
Not only will your house probably already have air-con, but modern air conditioners are usually fitted with a heat pump - and are one of the most efficient ways to heat a house. They can also double as a dehumidifier.
- Best for immediate heat: Infra Red (UFO) heater.
They may not look great, but they are the king of quick-fix instant heaters. be careful though; they are expensive to leave running, and they also don't heat the air - just you!
- Best for efficient gently background heating: Electric Oil filled radiators.
A safe, cost efficient option for gentle heating, but don't expect searing heat!
