Aphrodite’s Cherry Pie

 

  • 500 g stoned cherries
  • 1 tbs cornflour
  • 25 g sugar

Mix together.
Line a pie dish with sweet shortcrust pastry, add the cherry mixture, top with pastry and seal the edges. Make a hole in the centre and brush with milk and sugar and bake at 180/gas 4 for 40 mins until as golden as the apples that Aphrodite gave to Paris.
