Skyscanner
The Skyscanner website comes into its own if you are working with flexible dates. Its easy method of viewing flights on a chart across a month make it a great tool for picking the best value flights.
As an example, let's say that you are hoping to fly from Gatwick (LGW) to Bodrum (BJV) for couple of weeks in June 2009.
- Let's start by visiting the SkyScanner website: http://www.skyscanner.net/
- Now we choose the airports we are interested in, in the FROM field, we enter LGW (for Gatwick), and we enter BJV(for Bodrum) in the TO field. Note that you can also just type the airport name in the fields.

- Next, choose how many adults and children are flying.

- Now the dates - click the calendar icon to the right of DEPART, this will bring up a small calendar. Next to the month names, click the left or right arrows to select the month you require - June in this example. Then, at the bottom of that window click "Whole Month". Do the same for the RETURN date. (Note: that thereis also a WHOLE YEAR option if you want to view the cheapest flights across multiple months

- Click SEARCH
- You should now see the whole month chart view. You'll see that each day of the month has a column - the higher the column the more expensive the flight, if there is no column, then there are no flights on that day. To see more details about the flight, simply hover the mouse pointer over the column.
- Once you have found a flight you are happy with, simple click to select it, then choose a return flight. Note - you do not have to choose the same airline!

- Once you have selected both legs, a booking summary is shown at the bottom, and a price

- Just click NEXT to book the flights

- If you see multiple flight options, ensure that you select the cheapest (or best option) for you. Click NEXT
- You'll now see a summary of the flight information.

- Scroll down and click BOOK WITH AIRLINE

- You will now be taken directly to the flight company to book the flights.
