Bodrum one year weather report - September 2009 to August 2010
The Bodrum Bulletin weather station - positioned in Yalıkavak, has now been operational for one year, so for the first time we can now report across a full year period. With that in mind, please keep reading for a selection of graphs and tables showing everything from the average temperature each month, rainfall, humidity, heat index, pressure, and much more.
For those of you interested in the data, the weather information below is calculated from hourly readings, taken every hour, 24 hours a day over a full year; that's nearly 9000 data points.

First, the basic air temperature. Remember that these are temperatures taken in the shade, and do not take into consideration wind chill or humidity (see later sections):

Here's the Humidity - an indication of the moisture content in the air.

From the Temperature and the Humidity, we can calculate the Heat Index - this is one of the best indications of what the temperature actually 'feels like' in the warmer months. Note that the Heat Index can only be calculated when the temperature is over 27C, so some months have no data.

Similarly to the Heat Index, but from the Temperature and wind speed, we can calculate the Wind Chill - this is another good 'feels like' temperature - especially in the cooler months.

In the colder months, the dew point can also be a good indication of how cold it feels.
